Job Title: Warehouse Picker – 1st & 2nd shift

Job Description

This role involves accurately picking, packing, and staging products in a large parts distribution center while maintaining a strong focus on quality and attention to detail. You will handle items ranging from small handheld boxes to heavy machine parts using lifting equipment, support forklift operations by preparing correct pick pallets, and help ensure that every order ships to the correct destination.

Responsibilities

• Sort boxes and arrange them on the correct pick pallets for forklift operators.
• Pick and pack products of various sizes, from handheld boxes to thousand-pound machine parts, using appropriate lifting equipment.
• Use an RF scanner to accurately locate, pick, and verify inventory and orders.
• Load and unload semi-trailers with completed pallets in a safe and efficient manner.
• Support general warehouse duties such as order picking, packaging, inventory handling, and general labor tasks as needed.

Essential Skills

• 3–6 months of warehouse experience.
• Experience with picking and packing products in a distribution or warehouse environment.
• Ability to use an RF scanner for order picking and inventory tasks.
• Ability to load and unload trucks or semi-trailers safely.
• Capability to operate or learn to operate lifting equipment for heavy parts.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior forklift experience is preferred but not required, as training and certification will be provided.
• Experience in warehouse distribution, inventory handling, order picking, and packaging is beneficial.
• Background in general labor or similar physical roles is an advantage.
• Comfort working in a large, open parts distribution center with active forklift traffic.
• Strong quality-oriented mindset, with an understanding of the impact of shipping errors.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Davenport, IA.

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Davenport,IA.
