Senior Oncology Specialist - Emerald - Washington D.C.

Role Overview Senior Oncology Specialist – Territory Covers: Washington, DC, Arlington, Alexandria, VA, and Frederick, MD. Relocation is not offered. As the primary customer contact in the territory, you will provide current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen's oncology products to medical professionals and communicate the clinical and economic benefits of these products. Responsibilities Create and execute a comprehensive territory plan, including delivering branded sales messages, executing planned programs, scheduling and following‑up with medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets. Utilize internal and external relationships to service and manage accounts, ensuring product access, resolving reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts. Craft effective marketing strategies to drive sales. Analyze sales activities and territory performance; develop territory plans with your District Manager. Consistently demonstrate passion for Amgen products throughout the sales cycle, building the brand and serving patients. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and maintain continuous curiosity and learning. Leverage knowledge of oncology, disease states, industry, regulatory and competitive changes to deliver agreed results. Qualifications Basic: Bachelor’s degree + 3 years sales or clinical experience (healthcare/scientific field) OR Associate degree + 6 years sales or clinical experience OR High school diploma/GED + 8 years sales or clinical experience. Preferred: Oncology experience; 3+ years sales/marketing in pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or medical device industries; product or hospital sales in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, or infectious diseases; local market knowledge. Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
