Global Engineering Operations Manager

Responsibilities

Essential duties include:

• Implementing the engineering, safety, and code compliant programs, policies, and procedures established by the company to maximize client portfolio value. Ensuring that on-site personnel implement these programs.
• Managing the input of environmental data into the client's dashboard for reporting and audit purposes.
• Ensuring the 14001 program for all applicable offices is current, including conducting regular audits and reviews of all data inputs.
• Working with Facility Managers to formulate the operational PM plan for a location. Helping implement and coordinate energy management programs within the guidelines of industry quality standards, operating objectives, and goals established by the company.
• Providing direction and consultation to building operations staff on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire, life, and safety systems.
• Providing input and direction for implementation of training programs and activities for engineering and operations personnel.
• Managing the on-line IAQ air sensor monitoring program.
• Responding promptly to requests from Facility and Operations staff, ensuring issues or inquiries are resolved promptly, and to the benefit of the occupants, client, and/or property.
• Assisting in scope preparations and bid reviews regarding recommendations in engineering/mechanical related services.
• Collecting, analyzing, and reporting statistical data as requested by management, including utility data and metrics on energy projects.
• Working with engineering and operations staff to establish preventative maintenance programs to reduce equipment downtime, maintain property integrity, maximize efficiency, and minimize costs.
• Managing the preparation and coordination of health & safety, fire, life safety, and other safety programs. Ensuring that policies and procedures are followed.
• Managing the CMMS work order and preventative maintenance systems, overseeing the programs for utility and energy tracking, SDS, ISO14001, and environmental reporting.
• Assisting and interpreting deregulated energy contracts.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Other job functions include:

• On-call 24/7 to respond and support FM team in the event of emergencies or incidents that may require escalation.
• Reviewing leases to ensure compliance with lease provisions on operational items.
• Participating in industry organizations to benefit from their current programs and related issues affecting the industry.
• Conducting property audits in accordance with pre-established guidelines.

Qualifications

Education/experience:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related experience.
• Minimum of 5-7 years previous engineering operational management experience.

Skills:

• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Proven analytical abilities.
• Proactive.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple complex tasks with minimal supervision, while also adhering to the policies and procedures and Owner objectives.
