Overview
Registered Nurse – Oncology in Marysville, California for a travel temporary assignment beginning 08/24/2026. 8-week contract with guaranteed 36 hours per week on a 4x10-hour day schedule in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting. Weekly pay ranges from $2,576 to $2,712, reflecting a 40-hour expectation with potential for additional time as assigned.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to Oncology patients, applying the nursing process to develop and implement an individualized plan of care.
- Administer medications and therapies per physician orders, including chemotherapy/immunotherapy when qualified, monitor for adverse effects, and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Collaborate with physicians and other members of the care team to coordinate treatment plans, discharge planning, and patient education tailored to age-appropriate needs.
- Assess patient responses to treatment, manage IV therapy and symptom control, and delegate tasks to licensed and certified staff within scope of practice.
- Document care and outcomes in the electronic medical record (EPIC) with accuracy and timeliness; ensure continuity of care across shifts and disciplines.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Provider Card (Fundamentals or Standard course) required.
- ONC/ONCC-CHIM (Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Medical Oncology Nursing Certification) required.
- EPIC EMR experience required (backfill and daily use).
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in a clinical setting.
- BSN preferred; higher education is encouraged to support specialty practice.
- PICC Certification preferred; ACLS preferred.
- Must be able to work in the designated unit and comply with facility policies and patient care standards.
