Material Handler

Performs general warehouse and inventory support by picking materials for production work orders, shipments, and other activities as directed. Supports shipping operations through packing and crating materials.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Perform daily cycle counts as directed.
• Assist with receiving materials and storing stock using enterprise software tools, including delivering materials to employees as needed.
• Pick production work orders and kits for shipment while maintaining accurate count quantities.
• Process material transactions issued to work orders in the MRP inventory system.
• Maintain control over materials warehouse inventory.
• Assist in packing and crating products for shipment, including weighing crates, preparing weighbills, and creating shipping labels.
• Maintain clean, safe, and orderly work areas.
• Transport materials between various departments as required.
• Operate a forklift safely.
• Participate in and contribute to the Quality Improvement Process.
• Care for company assets.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Competencies

• Education & Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 2 years of experience in an electronics production environment with a background in shipping and receiving is preferred. Forklift operator certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Skills & Abilities: Proficiency in general office and computer data entry tasks. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members. Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Physical & Mental Demands

• High attention to detail with a strong emphasis on accuracy.
• Ability to work under frequent pressure to meet scheduled deadlines, which may require extended hours.
• Manual and finger dexterity required for computer entry.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.) on a daily basis.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
