The mission

Keep complex HVAC and building environmental systems running at peak performance. Prevent downtime before it happens. Restore service fast when it doesn’t. And leave a documented trail in the CMMS that proves it.

How you’ll make it happen

• Own preventive and corrective maintenance generated by a CMMS—perform the work and record it thoroughly in the system.
• Install, service, and maintain mechanical equipment: motors, engines, pumps, belts, fans, air handling units, and VAV/fan-powered boxes.
• Safeguard electronic/pneumatic environmental controls and oil/gas-fired water tube boilers; maintain auxiliary assets like pumps, de-aerating tanks, and air compressor blowers.
• Diagnose system issues using proper inspection, testing, and monitoring practices; apply safe, expert tool use.
• Quickly map the facility layout and system locations; learn operational procedures for all environmental controls.
• Work to the safety and quality expectations of CGL Facility Management, LLC, OSHA, and our clients.
• Verify all completed work meets local building and safety codes.
• Escort subcontractors while they perform on-site work.
• Take on other assigned PM and corrective tasks; keep the jobsite clean and safe.
• Complete all assigned compliance, safety, and developmental training.
• Share knowledge—train peers in fundamentals across unlike skillsets; provide mentorship, oversight, and direction.
• Be mobile: This position requires driving for the Company using either 1) a Company vehicle, at any frequency from Rarely to Constantly; or, 2) a Personal or Rental vehicle to conduct Company business more than 50% of the time to perform work duties.

Your background

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years of commercial or residential HVAC maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of HVAC plus one or more trades (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, general building maintenance).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and as-built drawings.
• Willing to take occasional on-call shifts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Certifications may be required.
• Self-motivated collaborator who prioritizes well and communicates effectively with clients.
• Valid in-state Driver’s License.
• EPA 608 Certification required.
• HVAC Certification preferred.

We are committed to offering competitive and equitable compensation. The hiring range for this position is generally between $26.01 USD to $31.54, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. Final salaries will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, licenses, certifications, and/or experience. In addition to these factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the general Hiring Range for the role. Hiring at the top of the range is reserved for exceptionally qualified candidates. We consider internal and external factors as a part of every final offer.
