The City of Bell Gardens seeks a visionary, collaborative, and results-oriented City Manager to guide the City through its next chapter of growth, innovation, and community investment. The City seeks candidates with a Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, finance, or a related field, and a minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in municipal government, including five (5) years of management and administrative experience. Spanish-speaking ability is highly desirable. Prior City Manager or Assistant City Manager experience is preferred. Possession of a Master’s Degree in a related field is highly desirable. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and effective leader who can balance long-range vision with day-to-day operational excellence. Bell Gardens is seeking a professional with strong experience in municipal finance, budgeting, revenue diversification, economic development, organizational leadership, and community engagement.
