Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a qualified Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse in Salem, Massachusetts. The position involves working in a Level III Trauma Center's Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) with floating responsibilities across adult medical and surgical units. The role requires providing care for adult patients with a range of diagnoses, including substance overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, sepsis, respiratory failure, and more. The ICU environment is supported by attending physicians and residents 24 hours a day.

Job Details:

• Shift: Rotating, 12-hour shifts with all day positions rotating between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., or 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. when needed. Night shifts are fixed and do not rotate.
• Schedule: 36 hours per week minimum.
• Required Qualifications: Active Massachusetts registered nurse (RN) license; American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications; 2+ years of adult ICU experience with continuous work in one location; telemetry competency; floating experience in medical/surgical units preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with adult-critical patient care and telemetry.
• Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The unit is a 20-bed Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit caring for diverse adult patients, including those diagnosed with substance abuse/overdose, sepsis, cardiac emergencies, renal failure, and others. The ICU operates within a 400+ bed community facility with comprehensive services including maternity and medical-surgical units. The electronic medical record system in use is EPIC.
