What You Will Do:

As a Registered Nurse, you will:

• Provide professional nursing care in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act and organizational policies
• Assess residents' conditions and recognize changes in health status
• Use clinical judgment and critical thinking to plan and evaluate care
• Monitor resident progress and document pertinent observations
• Delegate appropriate care tasks to other staff
• Collaborate with CNAs, Nurses, and leadership
• Build meaningful relationships with residents while providing person-centered care

Training and Support

New to intellectual and developmental disability nursing? That's okay. Misericordia provides ongoing training and professional development in ID/DD care and person-centered practices. Previous experience in I/DD nursing is not required.

Qualifications RN/ADN

• Associate's degree in Nursing or official transcripts
• Current Illinois RN license
• Good standing with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation
• Current BLS certification

BSN

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or official transcripts
• Current Illinois RN license
• Good standing with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation
• Current BLS certification

Schedule

• Full-Time: 40 hours per week
• Part-Time: 32 hours per week
• Residential Settings
• Day: 7:00 AM-3:00 PM
• PM: 3:00 PM-11:00 PM
• Overnight: 11:00 PM-7:00 AM
• Skilled Nursing Residence
• Day: 6:00 AM-2:00 PM
• PM: 2:00 PM-10:00 PM
• Overnight: 10:00 PM-6:00 AM

Pay

• New Graduate Starting Rates
• ADN/RN: $36.50/hour
• BSN: $37.50/hour
• Hourly Pay Range: $36.50-$48.00/hour
• The hourly rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise, years of experience, and other factors.
• Shift Differentials
• AM weekend: +$3/hour
• PM/Overnight Monday-Friday: +$3/hour
• PM/Overnight weekends: +$4/hour
