Low Voltage Technician

Job Description TechSource Solutions is looking for a low voltage technician. The ideal candidate will have experience in running CAT5, CAT6 and fiber cables, rack and stack network equipment installations, and conduit installations. Candidates that can troubleshoot, work unsupervised and have experience in telecommunications are ideal. Must be a self‑motivated professional who can work independently and interact directly with customers to explain issues and possible solutions in order to maintain great customer relationships. We are a close-knit, agile team searching for someone to come join us. Responsibilities Install both copper and fiber optic cable. Terminate copper cable (Cat5e, Cat6, etc.). Ability to properly create and install labels. Perform all component and system testing. Install support structures, including cable racks, j-hooks, innerduct Ability to understand basic wiring diagrams and installation instructions. Ability to work with small telecommunication components such as fiber optic strands and small gauge copper wire. Maintain a clean, neat, professional appearance Knowledgeable on the proper use of basic hand tools. Ability to act in a professional and courteous manner on all matters involving the customer. Other duties as assigned by Manager. Requirements Valid Driver’s License Reliable Vehicle with insurance Scissors and Boom Lift Experience preferred Ability to work from heights such as man lifts, scissor lifts & roof tops Ability to use small hand tools and power tools. Climbing of stairs, ladders, and/or scaffolds. Ability to walk, stand, bend, lift up to 50 lbs., and drive a vehicle.
