Within the Psychiatry service line, the Behavioral Health Nurse Manager will champion comprehensive behavioral health care across inpatient mental health units and related behavioral medicine programs in a Big City setting at a large hospital, guiding teams that manage diverse, high-acuity populations, stabilize crises, optimize throughput, and deliver trauma-informed, recovery-oriented care with seamless transitions to ambulatory and community resources that elevate access, equity, and patient experience.

Reporting into a forward-thinking Director of Behavioral Health Nursing and partnering closely with a Psychiatry Medical Director, the Behavioral Health Nurse Manager receives strong support from assistant nurse managers, educators, and clinical specialists while leading friendly nurses and a diverse healthcare professional team that includes psychiatric NPs, psychiatrists, social workers, therapists, case managers, pharmacy, and security; the Behavioral Health Nurse Manager oversees daily operations, staffing and scheduling, budgets, accreditation readiness, quality and safety initiatives, patient flow, and staff engagement.
