Description: Hiring process includes candidate interviews with the clinical team. The role requires floating throughout the designated area of service. The area covers a 60-mile radius from the central city location. Travelers are responsible for securing housing that accommodates floating requirements. Orientation is mandatory, and clinicians must be available on-site during this period. Schedules are released 4-6 weeks in advance and may vary in format. The assigned facility may change 1-2 hours before the shift start. The trauma level varies among facilities, with most being STEMI and stroke receiving centers. The average number of patients treated in the ER ranges from 40 to 168 per day. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:4-5 based on patient acuity. Common diagnoses include abdominal pain, diabetes mellitus, NSTEMI, pneumonia, trauma, stroke, and hypertension. The role includes performing point-of-care lab testing. Leadership will create the schedule based on staffing needs, with every other weekend and holiday requirements. Floating within the region's emergency departments is expected. Specific dress code requirements must be followed. Cancellation policies allow shifts to be canceled as specified in the employment agreement. The charting system used in the department is EPIC.
