We're proud that more organizations continue to leverage our technology every day to become truly data-driven.Fivetran is building data pipelines to power the modern data stack for thousands of companies.We're looking for a Senior Revenue Accountant to be responsible for timely and accurate revenue recognition and will report to the Revenue Manager.This role will work on all aspects of the revenue accounting process to ensure accurate and complete financial information. This includes, but is not limited to, sales contract review for revenue implications and executing month-end and year-end close activities. In addition, this position will require impeccable attention to detail and the ability to deliver results under deadlines. You will maintain best-in-class processes and controls to support the seamless execution of our revenue recognition activities and assist in the design, integration and testing of automated solutions to further scale and streamline revenue processes as Fivetran and dbt Labs, who merged in June 2026, work to align their end-to-end OTC processes.This is a full-time position based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration, including two days in the office each week to connect and build as a team.What You'll DoExecute monthly accounting close activities and deliverables in NetSuite (i.e. journal entries, account reconciliations, analytics and reporting), in compliance with ASC 606Perform ongoing contract review of closed deals and ensure appropriateness of revenue inputs for revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606Assist in tracking and assessing non-standard revenue contracts, as needed, for appropriateness of revenue recognitionDraft and maintain technical accounting memos supporting judgmental revenue recognition positions, ensuring conclusions are well-documented and audit-readyPrepare revenue-related system reconciliations, investigate variances, and ensure timely resolutionAssist in design, data integration and testing of NetSuite ARMParticipate in testing for revenue system enhancements to ensure new features support compliance and data integrityClearly and completely document all processes and procedures in line with control activitiesSupport SOX and internal control walkthroughs, testing, and documentation for the revenue cycle, partnering with internal and external auditors as neededIdentify process improvements and assist in automation efforts to drive efficiencyParticipate in ad hoc projects, such as supporting external audit requirementsRequired Experience:5-8 years of combined experience in revenue and/or public accountingStrong working knowledge of ASC 606Experience working in high-growth, SaaS companiesYou can demonstrate advanced Excel skills and work with large datasetsYou are meticulous and well-organized.
