Speech-Language Pathology
Speech-language pathology is a discipline concerned with the identification and treatment of persons of all ages with speech, voice, language, communication, cognitive communication and swallowing disabilities. The speech-language pathologist is committed to providing quality services to maximize an individual's functioning within his/her environment.
Education, Work Experience and Licensure:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Speech-Language Pathology as certified by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and hold at least a master's degree.
- Must hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology issued by ASHA or be eligible for certification (clinical fellowship year).
- Must be licensed/certified or eligible for licensure under the statues of the state in which the Speech-Language Pathologist will be practicing.
