This full-time, onsite opportunity calls for a dedicated school counselor to serve both Elementary and Intermediate buildings for grades K-5, fostering a supportive and responsive environment for all learners. The assignment begins August 12, 2026, and concludes May 20, 2027.

Your expertise will be valued through direct student counseling, group facilitation, and participation in critical school processes. You’ll collaborate closely with staff and families while delivering essential support to our young students. Qualifications:

• Active Kansas school counselor license (K-12; required)
• Demonstrated experience supporting K-5 students in school settings
• Strong background in individual and group counseling
• Skilled in delivering classroom guidance lessons
• Comfortable with crisis intervention and IEP meeting participation
• Excellent communication and rapport-building abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct counseling services to students individually and in groups
• Develop and implement classroom guidance lessons on social-emotional topics
• Participate as a member of the crisis response team and attend IEP meetings
• Serve as a resource for teachers and administrators in support of student needs
• Split schedule effectively between two elementary buildings
