Role Description The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Indianapolis, IN. This position is responsible for coordinating daily shipping and receiving activities, including preparing shipments, verifying incoming materials against documentation, and ensuring accurate labeling and documentation. The role involves maintaining inventory records, organizing stock locations, and supporting material handling throughout the facility. The coordinator will operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in a safe manner, communicate with internal teams and carriers to resolve shipping issues, and help ensure that parts and materials are moved efficiently to support production schedules. This position also supports continuous improvement in warehouse processes and adherence to safety and quality standards. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Shipping & Receiving, including preparing, verifying, and documenting incoming and outgoing materials. Candidates should possess skills in Inventory Control, including cycle counting, stock organization, and accurate data entry into inventory systems. Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to coordinate with production, purchasing, and logistics partners and to resolve shipping-related issues. Candidates should possess Forklift Operation and Material Handling skills, including safe use of warehouse equipment and proper handling of parts and materials. Additional beneficial qualifications include prior experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment, familiarity with ERP or warehouse management systems, strong attention to detail, and commitment to safety and quality.
