As a Security Officer Full Time Roving Patrol in Southfield, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this people-first role, you will support daily operations with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity while helping create a welcoming environment for tenants, guests, and staff.

- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to property management and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, to help identify unusual activity and/or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe activity at the location to help support authorized entry, visitor direction, and adherence to property rules and posted requirements.
- Document daily activities, incidents, and observations in required reports, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior to the appropriate contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
