activities by performing the following duties SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Associate of Arts (A.A.) in Education or 48 credits towards Bachelor of Science in Education (B.S.E.) KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES 1. Ability to teach moral and spiritual values to youth. 2. Excellent oral and written communication skills. 3. Strong organizational skills. 4. Superlative interpersonal skills. 5. Ability to maintain materials of a highly confidential nature. 6. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, parents and the general public. 7. Ability to deal effectively with questions or problems, seeking assistance when needed. 8. Ability to work assigned schedule. 9. Respects the teachings of the gospel of Jesus Christ in private, personal, and public life. 10. Commitment to the mission of the Roman Catholic Church in Native American education. 11. Sensitivity to, and appreciation of Native American people and their cultures. 12. Ability to serve as an appropriate role model for students. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Valid Montana drivers license. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear. The employee is also required to walk and stand for long periods of time (up to 20 minutes intervals) while supervising students. Climbing stairs is also required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Employee is required to work an assigned schedule due to the requirement of being a bus monitor and supervising students on the assigned bus route.
