Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) nurse specializing in Thoracic and Vascular teams is needed for a 26-week assignment in a 100-bed hospital environment. The role involves working in a Level 1 trauma facility with a diverse patient population, including transplant, trauma/neuro, and various other case types. The position requires proficiency in endovascular cases, scrub experience, and a minimum of two years of OR experience. The nurse must be flexible with late stays and work scheduled shifts during the days.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, with variations depending on unit needs.
• Required Qualifications: Must have thoracic and vascular OR experience, proficiency in endovascular cases, scrub experience, current certification on file at the time of submission, TN or compact license, and a minimum of two years OR experience. Prior travel experience is required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with transplant, trauma/neuro, robotic, hybrid rooms, or outpatient procedures is advantageous.
• Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Orientation sessions are scheduled for 09/28, 10/05, 10/12, and 10/26, with no orientation on 09/21 or 10/19. Travelers will be scheduled for four late stays within the 13-week contract, staying until late shift teams can take over or the rooms are ready for closure. Late stays are rarely extended beyond one hour past scheduled ending times but may increase during summer and December. The role involves minimal time off and requires working two out of three holidays. Candidates should be able to handle adult patient populations and be adaptable to float between OR locations when needed.
