Shift: First (8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday – Friday) Salary: $64,000 - $86,000; Compensation aligned with experience and qualifications. With 16 global facilities, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality products and excellent customer service. We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Estimator to join our team. Manufacturing Estimator Job Summary As a Manufacturing Estimator , you will become an expert in the product line, production capabilities, and cost structure related to satisfying our customer’s requirements. This includes assisting in customer requirement review including specifications and drawings and coordinating any customer specification deviation requests. Key Responsibilities Manufacturing Estimator Utilize CAD to reverse engineer samples to drawings in order to provide estimates to customers. Assist in customer requirement review including specifications and drawings; Coordinate any customer specification deviation requests. Participate in GEMBA, Kaizen, and After-Action Review activities to understand process capability, identify improvement opportunities, and document related cost structures. Support the quote follow-up process by collaborating with sales and service teams to adjust quotations based on findings and customer feedback. Other Activities: Develop and improve costing calculators and models by product line to drive the efficiency and accuracy of the quoting process. Advise and influence business leaders as required to ensure legal/regulatory compliance and positive business outcomes. Maintain process documentation and provide training and training materials that allow others to administer processes with limited direction. Requirements: Three to five years’ experience with custom manufacturing quoting processes. Outstanding Excel skills including formulas, lookup tables, and ODBC links. Proficiency creating written and pictorial documentation of manufacturing processes, especially for the purpose of documenting capability and best process cost structures. Experience with computer software including MS Office and ERP software. Position is subject to meeting ITAR requirements. Preferred Experience in low volume, high variety manufacturing Experience working as a machinist or craftsman Experience working in an ISO quality environment Associates Degree and Relative Certifications Work Environment Manufacturing Estimator This role is primarily performed in an office setting with a low noise level. Occasional work is performed on the manufacturing floor, which is non-climate-controlled with exposure to noise and dust.
