This role sits at the intersection of SAP expertise and regulatory intelligence, ensuring enterprise systems remain compliant with evolving tax and legal requirements across Brazil and Latin America. You will act as a key functional expert translating complex legislative changes into actionable SAP system updates. Working in a global, remote-first environment, you will collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to deliver high-impact solutions. The position requires deep SAP knowledge combined with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. You will influence critical ERP compliance outcomes for large-scale enterprise clients. This is a highly visible role where precision, communication, and ownership directly impact product reliability and regulatory adherence.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for transforming tax and regulatory requirements into SAP system enhancements while ensuring compliance and operational excellence across multiple clients and regions. You will collaborate with cross-functional global teams to design, validate, and deliver high-quality ERP updates.

• Translate Brazil and LATAM tax and regulatory requirements into SAP system changes, ensuring full compliance with legal frameworks.
• Act as a subject matter expert on SAP localization, supporting modules impacted by tax and regulatory updates.
• Develop functional specifications, business requirements, user stories, and system impact assessments for development and QA teams.
• Design and support test strategies, test plans, and validation activities to ensure high-quality releases.
• Collaborate closely with development, QA, and product teams to troubleshoot issues and support end-to-end delivery cycles.
• Analyze complex business and system problems, identifying risks and defining mitigation strategies.
• Support release planning activities, documentation, and client-facing configuration guidance.
• Facilitate communication between global tax/regulatory teams and technical stakeholders to ensure accurate knowledge transfer.

Requirements

The ideal candidate brings extensive SAP experience combined with strong expertise in Brazilian tax and regulatory environments, along with excellent communication and analytical skills to operate in a global, remote setting.

• 10+ years of experience in SAP projects, including strong exposure to Brazil localization and regulatory compliance.
• Deep knowledge of Brazilian tax frameworks (e.g., SPED, NF-e/NFS-e, ICMS, IPI, ISS) and emerging reforms (IBS, CBS).
• Strong functional and technical understanding of SAP systems and module configurations.
• Proven experience creating functional specifications, business analysis documents, and test strategies.
• Solid understanding of end-to-end business processes in Brazilian enterprise environments.
• Experience working within Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban) and tools such as JIRA is a plus.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese, with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, global, fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
