Psychiatrist opportunity in Saranac Lake, New York Located in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains 75,000 person service area Position Details: Full-time, permanent opening This is a hospital employed position featuring a seven day on-seven day off work schedule. This is an outpatient position, Monday through Friday during the seven days on, with inpatient, adult on-call duties as backup to the inpatient Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for the full seven days. The on-call duties tend to be light and would involve authorizing appropriate admissions, and completing the initial evaluation for new admissions. The Psychiatrist must be board certified and have an unrestricted license to practice medicine and is able to see patients of all ages. Hospital Employed Psychiatrist will be caring for a full and devoted patient population, with a strong referral base.
