ABOUT THE ROLE
Seeking an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk who is self-starting and detail-oriented. This is a full-time position and is based at the Corporate headquarters in Saginaw, Michigan.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

• Post customer adjustments to the AR sub ledger.
• Researches customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the Collections Manager and other staff.
• Verify discrepancies and resolve clients' billing issues.
• Assist with customer service items including waivers, invoices, statements and many other customer requests.
• Assist with tax exemption verifications to ensure proper tax credits are executed.
• Maintain records for the yearly audit for all cash postings (cash logs, payment copies, payment remits, etc).
• Process customer credit card billings.
• Process customer sales tax credits.
• Assist A/P with posting vendor invoices.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Proven working experience as Accounts Receivable Clerk
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
• Proficiency in English and in MS Office
• Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
• Ability to negotiate
• Strong customer service skills
