RN - OB GYN Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Obstetrics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience required, preferably 2 or more. License: Active Illinois license or confirmation that application process has been initiated. Certifications: BLS Certification, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program). Must-Have: Experience in Labor & Delivery, postpartum care, and level 2 nursery. Description:The unit provides care for antepartum, labor and delivery, and high-risk patients.The facility has 80 beds with 7 beds on the unit and 1 overflow room.Nurse-to-patient ratio follows AWHONN staffing guidelines based on patient acuity.Traveling staff may be required to float to other departments as needed.Dependability, positivity, and motivation are key characteristics sought in travel staff.The unit practices baby-friendly care.Travel nurses will work exclusively in antepartum and postpartum, with no scrubbing or circulating during c-sections required.The patient population includes antepartum, labor and delivery, and level 2 nursery cases.The charting system used is EPIC.Scrubs will be provided for the staff.Orientation consists of on-unit training for three days.Travel staff must be prepared for potential crossover in duties during high-demand periods.The area features a riverfront location with walking paths and a quaint downtown filled with boutiques and dining options. #J-18808-Ljbffr Cynet HealthStaff
