Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (RT) specializing in Pediatric (PEDS) care at a hospital setting. This role involves providing treatment, care, and evaluation for pediatric patients with respiratory conditions utilizing advanced technologies and medications. The position is based in a high-acuity NICU/PICU environment requiring collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Current respiratory therapy license, BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support). Candidates must have at least 2 years of current acute care hospital respiratory therapist experience.
• Fluent in procedures performed on unit, including treatment and evaluation of respiratory diseases, utilizing advanced technologies such as high flow devices, continuous nebulizers, Nitric Oxide, Heliox, and others.
• Must be a team player, critical thinker, patient care-focused, adaptable to fast-paced and changing environments, and able to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
• Previous Meditech electronic documentation system experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Candidates with previous NICU/PICU experience.
• Advanced skills with high flow devices and neonatal/pediatric procedures.

Additional Information:

• The role may provide coverage for adult floors for nebulizer therapy, BIPAP, CPT, etc.
