WM is a 100% employee-owned company and one of the largest and most well-established engineering companies with over 40 years of industry experience. This position is responsible for controls equipment assembly requirements involving PLC panels, motor control equipment, and instrumentation panels.Major ResponsibilitiesAssemble electrical equipment per Wunderlich-Malec standards and engineered drawingsRead and understand electrical schematics and panel layout drawingsPerform a print/part match by checking components for accuracy on the bill of materialPerform proper layout of back panel components as well as enclosure mounted componentsLocate components to ensure minimum manufacturer spacing requirements are metMaintain UL standards and NEC codes while building a control panelProperly label all components within the control panelOrganize component literature for shippingAssist with preparing assembled equipment for system checkoutAssist with daily equipment shipping/receiving responsibilities such as loading and unloading trucks and preparing tested equipment for shipmentMaintain a clean and organized production area on a daily basisMinimum RequirementsEducation High School diploma or GED.ExperienceGood employee interpersonal communication skills3+ years experience building control panelsDemonstrated skill in working effectively with team membersFamiliar with the use of a personal computer for entering timesheets, expense reports, printing wire labels, etc. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and WordWorking knowledge of all necessary safety requirements while working in the assembly areaSkill in identifying "non-standard" designs and recommending suggestions for layout, assembly, etc.Basic use of hand tools (i.e., tape measure, square, screwdrivers)Basic use of power tools (i.e., drill, jigsaw)Physical Demands of Position Seeing, color perception, hearing, clear speech, dexterity in hands, driving, climbing, ability to mount and dismount equipment, pushing and pulling. Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand on feet for long periods of time with standard breaks and lunch as required.Working Environment Equipment assembly environment; cement floor with floor padding provided as needed. May be dust in the area from the type of equipment environment setting.
