Emergency Department Nurse
Join our clinical team and take your nursing career to the next level. We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Nurse with experience in a fast-paced environment, committed to providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department
- Conduct assessments and evaluations of patients' conditions
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in the triage of patients and assist with emergency interventions
- Float within assigned locations as required
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department
- Must hold current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC
- Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to varying schedules within a 60-mile radius
- Strong clinical skills and the capability to manage acute patient care
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Work Schedule
Shifts are 12 hours. Schedules are released 4 to 6 weeks in advance and may follow either fixed assignments at specific facilities or Just-In-Time assignments with short notice prior to shift start.
Additional Information
Travelers are expected to float to various facilities within a designated zone. To provide quality care across multiple locations, the nurse must be flexible and available to accommodate patient needs. Orientation will be conducted over 2-3 days.
Patient Care Environment
The Emergency Department nurse will work in a fast-paced environment that caters to a diverse patient demographic, including trauma, stroke, and various medical emergencies. Typical patient volumes range from 40 to 168 patients per day, depending on location.
