Make a meaningful impact in education as a Special Education Teacher working within a supportive school community near Bethlehem, PA. We are seeking two dedicated professionals—one for Autistic Support at the elementary level and another for Learning Support at the middle school level. This contract role ensures you’ll be part of a collaborative environment focused on fostering student growth and achievement.
Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania Teaching Certification required (no pending or emergency permits accepted)
- Demonstrated experience as a Special Education Teacher, with strengths supporting autistic students (elementary) or students requiring learning support (middle school)
- Strong communication skills and a passion for helping students with diverse learning needs
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families
Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted instruction and support for students on your assigned caseload (elementary autistic support or middle school learning support)
- Develop, implement, and regularly update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Partner with fellow educators, aides, and support staff to create an inclusive, positive classroom environment
- Maintain accurate documentation and regular communication with families
- Adapt instruction to accommodate various learning styles and needs
- Participate in professional development and contribute to the school community
