Benesch is proud to announce the opening for an Accounts Receivable Specialist in our Cleveland office! This position is hybrid and has work from home flexibility.

Position Summary :

Then our Accounts Receivable Specialist opening is just the position you've been looking for in the next step in your career. This role is perfect for the accounts receivable professional who is looking to be part of a team, thrives in a fast-paced position and loves the challenge of multi-tasking. Our accounting department is growing, and we are looking for a new team member!

The Accounts Receivable Specialist handles all aspects of accounts receivable, including general ledger coding, data entry and posting of cash receipts for the Firm in an accurate and timely manner.

Essential Functions:

1. Manages cash receipts application process including the application of wires, checks, and credit cards.

2. Processes incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.

3. Verifies, codes and posts the current day cash receipts.

4. Prepares daily bank deposits and reconciles to accounting system.

5. Prepares daily cash reports.

6. Verifies and researches account discrepancies.

7. Assists in resolving client billing issues.

8. Assists with the month-end and year-end closing processes.

9. Maintains accurate records, files and necessary documentation.

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Assist with special projects, process improvement opportunities, and support to the Accounting Department as needed.

2. Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications :

The Accounts Receivable Specialist must have excellent attention to detail and accuracy, possess good organizational skills, and a strong commitment to client service. This position requires a High School Diploma, with any post-high school coursework being preferred. 1-3 years of Accounts Receivable, Cash Application, General Accounting, or Legal Support Staff experience preferred. Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel and Word) and data entry. Must have the ability to use 10-Key calculator by touch and be capable to type at a speed of 60 WPM. The Accounts Receivable Specialist should be a self-starter that is able to meet deadlines and have an excellent customer service attitude. Willingness to work overtime is essential.

The salary range for this position is $56K to $70K.

Base pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay is only one part of the Total Rewards that Benesch provides to compensate and recognize our staff professionals for their work. Full-time positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
