Travel Med/Surg Tele Float Pool RN – Quick HighlightsSpecialty: Med/Surg/Tele Float Pool RNRadius Rule: 50 miles; unexpired driver's license required at submissionCertifications: BLS & ACLS requiredExperience: Must pass a cardiac rhythm exam; ACLS experience expected to support passingPatient Ratios: Primarily 1:5–6, occasionally 1:7 depending on acuityUnits: 6N (36 beds), 7N (29 beds), 4N (36 beds), 5S (36 beds), 6S (36 beds), and Critical Care (20 beds)Patient Population: CHF, cardiac cath, chest pain, pneumonia, chronic renal disease, COPD, orthopedic and oncology patientsDrips: No drip titration requiredTelemetry: Phillips monitors; RN must read and interpret stripsRespiratory: CPAP/BiPAP; managed by RTShifts: 7 AM–7 PM / 7 PM–7 AMWeekends: Every other weekend, Sat/Sun for both days and nightsHolidays: Included in the holiday rotationFloating: RN reports to the clinical coordinator before shift for assignment; may float across all 6 unitsAssignment: Usually assigned a parent unit and basic telemetry patients within scopeOrientation: 1–2 shifts with a preceptorScrubs: Royal BlueSupport: CNAs available on all unitsCharge: Day charge does not take patients; night charge takes an assignment.
