As our Pre-production Technician / Process Control specialist, you'll be the critical link between customer vision and production-floor execution — turning artwork and blueprints into flawless, ready-to-run job tickets for our Screen Print Department.You'll own the details that keep production moving: optimizing workflows, building accurate parts and blueprints, proofing customer artwork, and verifying screens and inks before they hit the line. Your eye for quality and knack for process will directly shape how smoothly — and how well — every job comes together.Cat-i Glass participates in E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility after hire.What You'll Do:Daily job entry (New) using company ERP systemParticipate in New Product ReviewCreate BP's for new partsCreate Artwork, proofs, screen layouts, and Artwork Layouts for all screen and digitally printed partsUpdate existing BP's and part master notesDevelop notes based on similar jobs and processing knowledgeProcess Control of new production jobs and part mastersSupport Sales/Production with any issues that may come upReview manufacturing starting quantities based on historical dataUpdate Bill of Materials (BoM's) when creating part mastersWork with purchasing to create new PO's for new and repeat screen ordersInspect and check in screens and inks from vendorsDouble-check the Screen Print Department has materials needed to do each job (inks and screens)Order inks for screen printCreate color chips for new inksTest new inksSupport Screen Print Department and production floor with daily operationsPull films and frames to be shipped to vendors for repeat screen ordersMust be able to report to work as scheduled and on timeProfessional attitude and appearanceOther duties as assignedSkills/Competencies:Adobe IllustratorAutoCAD (not required, but a plus)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsManage a high volume of emails and effectively monitor and respond in a timely mannerSelf-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.Ability to multi-task, prioritize, manage time efficiently, and adapt to an ever-changing workdayAbility to work individually and as part of a teamStrong attention to detailTyping skillsDemonstrated ability to read, write, and speak EnglishComfortable multitasking and prioritizing tasks without guidanceSelf-motivated professional with good communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to be resourceful and proactive when issues ariseProficiency in Microsoft OfficeERP system experience a plusEducation/Experience:High school or equivalent preferred3+ years prepress/printing experienceProficient in Microsoft Office requiredProficient in Adobe Illustrator requiredWhat We Have To Offer:Medical, dental, and vision insurance — because a trip to the dentist or the eye doctor shouldn't be a financial decision.If you get hurt or sick, your paycheck doesn't stop.
