Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum 3 Years License: Required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Trauma Level I Experience Circulating Experience Description: This position requires the nurse to work every Saturday and Sunday, plus one rotating weekday each week. Candidates must confirm awareness and comfort with this schedule. Call shifts are required, with a total of 6 call shifts in a 6-week period. Holidays are required, with no block scheduling. First-time travelers are accepted. Pending licenses are not accepted; candidates must have an active license prior to starting. Candidates will float within the facility to meet needs. Two to three years of trauma experience is required if the candidate has at least one year of Level I trauma experience. The position requires circulating skills; scrubbing experience is preferred. RNs should be well-rounded and current in most areas except cardiovascular and transplant, as they will be floated where needed. The facility has an average daily census of 70-80 patients. The unit handles a variety of cases, including general, plastic, gynecological, trauma, orthopedics, and neurological procedures. Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Local candidates are accepted. Floating is required to meet hospital needs. Clinical experiences required include various surgical procedures such as laparoscopic and robotic surgeries, trauma surgeries, joint replacements, and more. All required documentation must be completed prior to submitting potential candidates for this position.
