Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days, evenings Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse – Pediatric Cardiac Cath Lab Location: New York, NY Start Date: 09/28/2026 End Date: 12/26/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Schedule: 3×12-hour shifts Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM and 12pm-12:30am Hours: 34.5 hours/week MUST HAVE 2 YRS OF PEDS CARDIAC CATH LAB EXP MUST HAVE BSN Requirements Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Cardiac Cath Lab experience — REQUIRED BSN — REQUIRED Minimum 2 years RN experience 1 year travel experience required for travel positions Active New York RN license BLS, ACLS & PALS required Epic experience highly preferred Strong cardiology, telemetry, and procedural experience Key Responsibilities Provide safe, competent, patient-centered nursing care to pediatric cardiac patients. Perform comprehensive patient assessments and apply critical thinking in patient care management. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans. Monitor patients before, during, and after cardiac catheterization procedures. Educate patients and families regarding procedures, treatment plans, transition of care, and discharge instructions. Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation. Support patient throughput and coordinate care throughout the shift. Follow evidence-based practices, quality standards, and patient safety protocols. Participate in quality improvement, nursing research, and professional development activities. Perform charge nurse responsibilities when assigned.
