Growing together.As a Technical Product Manager (AI Product Manager) in our Chief Digital Office (CDO) within Optum Technology, you will drive the definition, design, and delivery of innovative, AI-powered technology solutions that transform the consumer digital experience, virtual assistant capabilities, and outbound engagement strategies. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business strategy and cutting-edge digital engineering, collaborating closely with data scientists, software engineers, and business partners to deliver scalable conversational AI and proactive contact center solutions. This is a unique opportunity to lead the deployment of advanced virtual assistants and outbound workflows, making a measurable impact on the healthcare system as part of a high-impact, forward-looking digital team.You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges, or if you reside in Minnesota, you'll enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid-remote position* as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:Decompose high-level business capabilities into manageable features, requirements, technical specifications, and user storiesOwn, prioritize, and manage the product backlog to align with business priorities, technology strategies, and engineering capacityDesign, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions to address complex business challenges, with a focus on conversational AI virtual assistants (e.g., Cognigy, Google, Amelia Bots) and proactive outbound engagement (e.g., NICE Proactive AI or Smartreach Outbound)Partner with engineering, data science, and architecture teams on the creation of technical requirements, model criteria, and test strategiesEvaluate emerging technology, conversational AI, and outbound proactive contact center trends to inform solution design, platform development, and strategic innovationLeverage enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline internal product management workflows, automate routine tasks, and drive continuous improvementDefine and track key product performance metrics to measure success, drive post-launch refinement, and ensure high-quality software deliveryLeverage enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and drive continuous improvementYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear directions on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications :3+ years of experience working with NICE CXone products or capabilities (e.g., routing, interaction channels, or customer experience workflows)3+ years of experience in technical product management, technical product ownership, or business systems analysis within a software engineering or technology environment2+ years of experience utilizing Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) to write technical requirements, decompose features, and manage active product backlogs1+ years of experience designing, configuring, or managing conversational AI virtual assistants (e.g., Google Bot)Preferred Qualifications :Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of equivalent work experience in technical product management, software engineering, or business analysisCertified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Agile Product Manager certification, or Pragmatic Institute product management certification1+ years of experience managing, deploying, or designing products driven by Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), automation, or data-intensive backend architectures2+ years of experience partnering directly with cross-functional technical teams (e.g., software developers, data scientists, architects, and QA engineers) to launch technical featuresBroad understanding of the machine learning lifecycle, natural language processing (NLP), Large Language Models (LLMs), or conversational AI systemsExperience evaluating workflow automation opportunities and designing technology platforms to improve operational efficiencyExperience working with databases, querying data using SQL, or utilizing data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to analyze product metricsExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a proven ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders*All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment.
