Exciting Opportunity for a Compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) in Acute Care!

Job Description:

- Deliver and coordinate high-quality nursing care using the nursing process - assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Provide hands-on patient care while supervising and delegating appropriate duties to staff members.

Key Responsibilities:


- Provide safe, effective nursing care in accordance with professional standards and facility policies.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications, fluids, and respiratory treatments as prescribed.
- Recognize and interpret patient symptoms; report and respond promptly to changes in condition.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient status, interventions, and outcomes.
- Teach patients and families about medications, treatments, and ongoing care after discharge.
- Organize time and prioritize tasks effectively to ensure timely patient care.
- Ensure infection control and safety policies are consistently followed.
- Provide leadership and guidance to assigned staff to ensure quality care.
- Assist in the orientation and training of new team members.
- Participate in continuing education to enhance professional competence.
- Support a positive, collaborative work culture through effective communication and teamwork.

Qualifications:


- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of South Dakota (or eligible for reciprocity).
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement.
- Prior acute care or hospital nursing experience preferred, but not required.
