Operations Specialist

The Operations Specialist will manage new service inquiries received from the Customer Service Organization through various workstreams including notifications, emails, and business process exception cases. The role involves researching and analyzing customer notifications related to the ability to provide water and wastewater services to potential new customers. The position includes interaction with internal and external business partners via phone and email regarding service availability and application status. The role also involves analysis and resolution of Business Process Exception cases created from meter reading or technical master data errors. These cases require timely research and resolution to reduce estimates or correct account setup errors that may delay billing.

Minimum 2 years of customer service experience with outbound phone calls. Strong communication skills. Root cause analysis skills for account research. Basic math skills for calculations. Computer experience including Microsoft Office applications.

Experience in customer service environments. Experience working with business process or account research tasks.

Manage new service inquiries from multiple workstreams including notifications, emails, and business process exception cases. Research and analyze customer requests related to water and wastewater service availability. Communicate with internal and external stakeholders via phone and email. Review and resolve Business Process Exception cases related to meter reading or master data issues. Ensure timely resolution of cases to prevent billing delays or errors. Perform account research and analysis to support accurate service setup.

Prior SAP experience preferred.

Strong communication skills. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work with multiple systems and data sources.

High School Diploma or GED required. Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
