About the Position

Practice emergency medicine in one of New England's most unique locations! We're seeking a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician to provide locum coverage at a Critical Access Hospital on beautiful Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts .

Position Highlights

Location: Oak Bluff, Massachusetts
Specialty: Emergency Medicine
Assignment: 3-month contract
Coverage Needed: 10–13 shifts per month
September: Evening & Night Shifts
- 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM
- 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM
October–December: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Practice Details

Critical Access Hospital
Annual ED Volume: Approximately 13,000 visits
Average Daily Census: 20–24 patients
See approximately 2.5–3 patients per hour
Adult & pediatric patient population (approximately 14% pediatrics)
25-bed hospital
Limited onsite specialty support
EPIC EMR

Ideal Candidate

This opportunity is ideal for Emergency Medicine physicians who enjoy practicing in a community-focused, rural setting and are comfortable working with broad pathology in a Critical Access Hospital environment.

Requirements

✅ Board Certified in Emergency Medicine Required
✅ Active Massachusetts medical license
✅ ACLS certification
✅ DEA registration
✅ Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Medicine experience
