A travel pharmacist opportunity is available at a 25-bed critical access hospital in Wisconsin, providing pharmacy services primarily in an ER, Labor & Delivery, and Medical-Surgical setting. This role supports an average daily census (ADC) of 10-12 patients and involves medication management without much oncology involvement. The facility uses Cerner for electronic medical records and Pyxis for medication dispensing, offering a modern workflow environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and safely to patients in ER, L&D, and Med-Surg units
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize pharmacological therapies
• Utilize EMR (Cerner) and automated dispensing systems (Pyxis) effectively
• Monitor patient medication regimens and adjust as necessary to improve outcomes
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and applicable regulations

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active pharmacist license, including acceptance of ACT 10 license holders
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred, especially in critical access or similar settings
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR and Pyxis systems is highly advantageous
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to travel and commit to a 13+ week assignment

Schedule and Hours:

• 7 days on, 7 days off rotation
• Monday through Friday: 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Saturday and Sunday: 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM

This travel pharmacist role begins early July with a flexible start date around July 6th to cover the first rotation. It offers the opportunity to gain valuable hospital pharmacy experience in a well-supported, critical access setting.
