Internal Number: Job Summary Supports the Superintendent in managing daily maintenance, supervising staff, and ensuring high-quality playing conditions. Key responsibilities include turf management (mowing, fertilization, chemical applications), irrigation system operation, and overseeing maintenance crews. Act as the on-site grounds leader in the Superintendent’s absence. Essential Functions Have a strong understanding of turf grass culture, course conditioning, construction and reconstruction, the proper use of fertilizers and pesticides as well as irrigation equipment operation and maintenance; In absence of the Course Superintendent lead maintenance efforts for golf course Supervises personnel in various maintenance job responsibilities; Operates all equipment; instructs others on safety operations and proper use; Purchases necessary parts, tools, and supplies to support the shop and golf course maintenance in accordance with County policy; Help plan, schedule and monitor all daily operations including insuring adequate staffing schedules for daily needs as well as coordination of leave requests; Maintains records of minor and major maintenance repairs and safety inspections; Assists with the preparation, implementation and monitoring of annual operating and capital budget for golf course; Performs other duties as assigned.
