Plant Maintenance Technician - Part-Time


Pay: $17.00-$20.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Hours: Approximately 20-30 hours per week
Location: Hot Springs, AR


This is a Safety-Sensitive Position.


Express Employment Professionals is currently interviewing candidates for a Part-Time Plant Maintenance Technician position with a local company in Hot Springs!


This is a great opportunity for an experienced, hands-on maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and keeping machinery operating safely and efficiently.

What You'll Do

• Perform preventative maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machinery
• Troubleshoot mechanical and equipment malfunctions
• Follow diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer instructions, and engineering specifications
• Identify sources of equipment problems by observing machinery while in operation
• Listen for unusual sounds or signs of mechanical issues
• Use precision measuring and testing instruments to diagnose problems
• Help maintain safe and efficient operation of plant machinery and equipment
• Perform general maintenance and repairs as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 1 year of verifiable experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Hydraulics
  • Pneumatics
  • Welding
  • Mechanical maintenance
  • Electrical
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and understand diagrams, schematics, and technical instructions
• Ability to work independently and follow safety procedures

Skills That Are a Big Plus!


Experience with any of the following is highly preferred:

• Welding
• Electrical
• PLC systems
• Schematics
• Hydraulics
• Pneumatics
• Mechanical systems

Physical Requirements


This position requires the ability to:

• Stand for extended periods of time
• Bend and stoop
• Crawl into or work in tight spaces when necessary
• Perform hands-on maintenance and repair tasks
• Safely handle tools and equipment

Hours are generally Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, although earlier start times may occasionally be required based on operational needs.
