About the Role

The Company is in search of a Senior Regulatory Counsel with a focus on chemical regulatory law, OSHA, EHS regulations, and regulatory interpretation. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal analysis, risk-based interpretation, and strategic guidance on complex regulatory frameworks, particularly in the areas of TSCA and EPA. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between technical regulatory teams and the compliance organization, and the ideal candidate will have a strong background in TSCA and EPA experience, as well as an understanding of chemical classification and transportation rules. Key responsibilities include advising on compliance with the Toxic Substances Control Act, supporting the preparation and review of Safety Data Sheets, and providing counsel on chemical approvals, reporting requirements, and pre-manufacture notifications. Applicants for this role at the company should hold a J.D. from an accredited law school, be an active member of the bar, and have 5-12+ years of experience in chemical regulatory, environmental regulatory, or EHS law. Expertise in TSCA, EPA regulations, and OSHA requirements is essential, as is experience in manufacturing, chemical, industrial, or related industries. The role also involves cross-functional collaboration, so strong communication skills and the ability to partner with technical teams are necessary. A background in chemical engineering, chemistry, or technical chemical work is a bonus. The Senior Regulatory Counsel will be expected to provide nuanced, risk-based counsel, and to translate regulatory requirements into practical options for the business, highlighting risks and alternative approaches.
