Progressive Care Unit - PCU

Shift: Nights Shift options: 36 or 48 hours

Assignment Details: Census: Daily ~38; Unit size 55 beds

Roles & Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive care for adult and geriatric cardiovascular patients, including those with CHF, STEMI/NSTEMI, and those recovering from cardiac surgery or catheterization. Monitor telemetry and recognize dysrhythmias. Administer and manage cardiac drips without titration, and monitor post-cardiac cath/surgery and post-MI patients. Perform central/PICC/peripheral line care, IV starts, and administer blood products. Offer non-invasive airway management including HFNC and BiPAP/CPAP. Conduct chest tube care and sheath removal, while monitoring procedural sedation.
