Work Environment This position is designed for a remote work setting, allowing for flexible work-life balance while still providing high-quality healthcare services. You will participate in a structured weekly schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with the potential for some flexibility to address varying patient needs. Our outpatient office is equipped with the latest technology to facilitate seamless teletherapy sessions and maintain effective communication among team members and with clients. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to identify patients' unique needs and design individualized treatment plans that incorporate their cultural contexts. Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to each individual, taking into account their personal experiences and cultural backgrounds to drive recovery. Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing diverse mental health needs, integrating strategies that enhance resilience and coping skills. Coordinate care with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other professionals to provide a holistic approach to mental health treatment. Respond promptly to mental health crises by providing immediate support and intervention to mitigate risks and ensure patient safety. Educate patients and their families about various mental health conditions, outlining available treatment options and community resources to promote informed choices. Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in alignment with professional standards and legal requirements, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all records. Engage in regular team meetings, case conferences, and cultural competency training sessions to foster professional growth and team cohesion. Stay updated with current research, evolving best practices, and trends in culturally responsive therapy to enhance service delivery. Patient Population / Client Focus At Bayview Psychotherapy Services, you will work primarily with clients from diverse backgrounds, including ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrant families. Qualifications A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LLMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York. Strong grasp of various mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies. Established experience in delivering individual and group therapy, particularly employing culturally responsive techniques. Proficient crisis intervention skills, remaining composed in high-stress situations to provide effective care. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, facilitating building rapport with a diverse clientele. Competency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant clinical software applications. A commitment to ethical practices, maintaining confidentiality, and fostering professional boundaries. Strong collaborative skills, demonstrating the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Preferred Experience Background in community mental health settings or cultural competency training. Experience working with specific communities, particularly those represented within Yonkers. Past involvement in developing community outreach programs focused on mental health awareness. Compensation and Benefits Bayview Psychotherapy Services offers a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $100,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
