Accounting Manager

Century Equipment Company, a heavy equipment dealer with multiple locations across five states, has an immediate opening for an energetic corporate Accounting Manager.We are seeking a career-minded individual ready to take on an expanding role within the organization as job specific skills are mastered.This is an on-site, full-time position working from our corporate headquarters in Salt Lake City. Key Responsibilities Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger activity, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end close. Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports. Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to support accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. Supervise and train accounting staff, including assigning work and reviewing output. Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, vendors, and internal stakeholders as needed. Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and variance analysis. Identify opportunities to improve accounting systems, workflows, reporting, and automation. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2 – 5 years of progressive accounting experience. Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Highly proficient with Excel and general accounting software. Excellent attention to detail with a strong ability and desire to learn new skills. Compensation and Benefits Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.
