Medical Receptionist Floater

Ultimate Staffing is seeking a reliable, professional, and adaptable Medical Receptionist Floater to provide front desk coverage for healthcare offices throughout the Hartford area. This position will primarily be based in Hartford and Bloomfield , with occasional travel to Glastonbury, Farmington, and Enfield to provide coverage for employee vacations, sick time, leaves of absence, and other staffing needs.

The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, prior medical office experience, and the flexibility to work in different office locations as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
• Check patients in and out for appointments.
• Answer and direct incoming telephone calls.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments.
• Verify insurance information and update patient demographics.
• Collect copayments and process patient payments when required.
• Maintain accurate patient records within EMR/EHR systems.
• Assist with patient registration and intake paperwork.
• Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and clinical staff.
• Handle incoming faxes, mail, and other office correspondence.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Provide front desk support at various office locations as staffing needs arise.
• Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year of medical receptionist, medical office, or healthcare administrative experience preferred.
• Experience working with EMR/EHR systems.
• Knowledge of insurance verification procedures and medical terminology.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to quickly adapt to different office settings and teams.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between locations.

Travel Requirements

This position supports multiple medical offices throughout the Hartford area, including:

• Hartford
• Bloomfield
• Glastonbury
• Farmington
• Enfield

While most shifts will be worked in Hartford and Bloomfield , flexibility to cover all locations when needed is required.
