Seasonal Behavioral Technician – Cumberland County, NJNeuropath Behavioral Healthcare provides comprehensive youth and family support services to primary caregivers of children and teens with developmental and intellectual disabilities. We serve families across the state of New Jersey and are currently seeking dedicated seasonal behavioral technicians to join our Cumberland County team.As a seasonal behavioral technician, you will support children with developmental and intellectual disabilities in-home, in-community, and in-center. Providers typically work 5–20 hours per week, with 2–4 hour shifts primarily scheduled in the evenings. Services are hands-off, emotionally supportive, and designed to promote client alertness, engagement, and emotional well-being.Roles and responsibilities include:Provide non-physical, emotional, and behavioral support to children and familiesEnsure the safety and well-being of the clientImplement strategies outlined in each child's individual support planConduct functional assessments, including activities of daily living (ADLs)Use redirection strategies to manage behavioral concernsSubmit visit notes promptly following each session in accordance with organizational and compliance guidelinesRespond to crises using de-escalation and safety strategiesEngage clients in interest-based activities to support growth and awarenessAttend case reviews, team meetings, and required trainingsFollow all agency protocols, procedures, and professional guidelinesQualifications:Authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)Must complete the NJ CSOC behavioral assistant certification within 6 months of hireMust be working towards receiving their registered behavioral technician certification within 6 months of hireInitiative to frequently check emails for admin communicationsValid New Jersey driver's licenseMust pass all state and federal background checksA pre-employment, post conditional job offer drug screen is required for this roleBilingual (Spanish-speaking) candidates are encouraged to applyMust be willing and able to commit to the position for a minimum of three (3) monthsPathways for qualification based on New Jersey guidelines:If a registered behavior technician (RBT) by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), you must at least have one year (1) of supervised experience in implementing behavior support plans for individuals who have intellectual/developmental disabilities; ORIf you have a bachelor's degree in behavior analysis, psychology, special education, guidance and counseling, or social work, you must at least have one year (1) of supervised experience in implementing behavior support plans for individuals who have intellectual/developmental disabilities; ORIf with a high school diploma or GED, you must at least have three (3) years of supervised experience in implementing behavior support plans for individualsSkills/abilities:Active listening and emotional intelligencePositive leadership and adaptability in dynamic environmentsPatience, compassion, and empathy in client interactionsStrong verbal and written communication skillsOrganizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and collaborativelyFamiliarity with evidence-based approaches for developmental disabilitiesProficiency in client engagement and behavioral redirection strategiesBenefits:A dynamic work environmentOpportunities for professional growthCompetitive payPaid time off & sick pay (full-time):PTO accrual based on years of service (13–20 days annually)Sick time off (STO) up to 40 hours per yearPaid time off & sick pay (part-time):PTO accrual based on years of service (up to 40 hours annually)Sick time off (STO) up to 40 hours per yearOngoing job trainingHealth and ancillary full-time benefits:ICHRA health coverage reimbursement planShort/long term disabilityLife insurance401KSign-on bonus:We are excited to offer a $300 sign-on bonus to new behavioral technicians who join our team in Cumberland County!Bonus structure:$150 issued after 45 days of active employment$150 issued after 60 days of active employmentMust meet all eligibility criteria throughout the bonus periodEligibility criteria:To qualify for the sign-on bonus, employees must:Complete all onboarding and orientation requirementsMaintain a minimum weekly caseload of 2–3 assigned clientsStay actively engaged and attend all scheduled sessionsRemain in good standing throughout the bonus periodDefinition of good standing:An employee is considered in good standing if they:Consistently meet performance expectations and documentation deadlinesHave no active performance improvement plans (PIPs) or disciplinary actionsMaintain effective communication with supervisors and familiesComply with all attendance policies and case responsibilities
