Senior Embedded Software Engineer - St Paul

Salary: $100,000 - 145,000 per year Requirements:

• We need a bachelors degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree with at least 4 years of related experience; in lieu of a degree, we accept at least 10 years of directly related experience.
• We require a minimum of 6 years in the computer/software engineering field.
• We require at least 6 years of professional C++ development experience.
• We need the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of War Security Clearance.
• Preferred: familiarity with Green Hills RTOS.
• Preferred: experience developing device drivers and Board Support Packages for real-time embedded systems.
• Preferred: experience with modern C++ techniques.
• Preferred: experience working in Agile Scrum/Kanban development processes.

• We support and lead the development and execution of software on targeted embedded hardware.
• We design software based on requirements documents and system-level design documents.
• We work closely with test engineers to help drive test automation.
• We apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis principles to embedded software development.
• We develop software for targeted embedded hardware using advanced C++ and embedded RTOS technologies.
• We collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define and evaluate hardware, firmware, and software interfaces, as well as overall system performance requirements.
• We investigate complex issues, determine root causes, and implement solutions independently or with a multidisciplinary team.
• We participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, hardware-software integration, and formal testing.
• We create software test plans, procedures, and other technical documentation.
• We use modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, run experimental tests, prototype solutions, and assess results.
• We take part in peer reviews and identify, track, and resolve defects.
