Travel Physical Therapist - $2,407 per week

Job Overview Fusion Medical Staffing is hiring a Travel Physical Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Summersville, West Virginia. The role includes 40 hours per week on 8‑hour shifts, with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits. Responsibilities Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement PT treatment plans using various techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain. Operate specialized PT equipment and modalities safely, maintaining and calibrating devices. Assess progression, adjust plans, and document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other health professionals for coordinated care. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management. Adhere to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards while ensuring patient comfort. Engage in quality assurance and professional development activities to stay current with best practices. Participate in discharge planning for smooth transitions to community or home settings. Perform additional duties as assigned within scope of practice. Required Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). At least ~3 years of PT experience (new grads welcome). Possession of other required certifications or licenses, if specified. Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. Additional certifications or licenses relevant to the position. Essential Skills Critical thinking and service excellence. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Proficient reading, writing, and verbal communication in English. PC literacy and ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Physical abilities: ability to remain stationary, move about, lift 50‑100lbs, push, pull, and bend. Interpersonal: ability to work effectively with a range of personnel. Technical/motor: fine manipulation and equipment use. Mental: cope with public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work with or without supervision, handle irregular schedules, maintain concentration on details.
