Job Description Grant Watts Elementary – Lead Secretary – 2026‑27 School Year. Starting Date: Aug 4 2026. Qualifications Proficient computer, language, and writing skills; relationships with the public and co‑workers in a warm, courteous and helpful manner; ability to multi‑task, demonstrate attention to detail, organize and prioritize tasks, and enjoy this age group. Citizenship, residency or work visa required. Responsibilities Perform a wide variety of secretarial and clerical duties for administrative personnel, teachers, and support staff assigned to a school. Screen telephone calls and visitors, making appointments for the principal when applicable. Maintain confidentiality in dealing with student/staff members. Adhere to all district health and safety guidelines, including all precautions of the Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Control Plan. Account for food service money and records. Maintain Associated Student Body Books. Prepare requisitions and orders. May be required to enter discipline referrals into a discipline database. Be punctual and maintain regular attendance. Salary $26.17‑28.18 per hour (after probationary period if previous experience verified relevant to position; new employees to district only). Hours & Contract Hours: 8 per day.
