Senior Infusion Associate (physician practice experience required) - Brooklyn

NYU Langone Hospital‑Brooklyn is a full‑service teaching hospital and Level I trauma center located in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. Position Summary This Senior Infusion Associate will provide support services for Medical Office and Infusion Intake operations within the Perlmutter Cancer Center. The role includes scheduling, patient check‑in/out, insurance verification, pre‑authorization, and coordination of infusion and laboratory appointments. Job Responsibilities Assist with post‑visit interdepartmental scheduling for patient visits, infusion treatments, procedures, and diagnostic tests. Obtain pre‑authorization and certifications; verify insurance eligibility electronically. Provide front‑desk support, including reception assistance and answering telephone calls. Check patients in and out, gather demographic information, and enter data into the system. Schedule routine appointments, follow‑up visits, procedures, and surgeries. Coordinate testing and pre‑procedure requirements with other departments. Monitor work queues for registration and scheduling requests for infusion, office, and lab visits. Track and schedule Beacon infusion requests from providers throughout the day. Interpret infusion scheduling requests and schedule all treatment cycles accordingly. Calculate chair‑time length and nursing availability for each day’s treatment regimen. Coordinate lab, infusion, and MD appointments to ensure smooth patient flow. Maintain professional relationships with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff. Answer patient questions, provide instruction for patient satisfaction, and refer to senior staff when appropriate. Maintain physician and patient schedule, procedure schedule, appointment calendar, and OR schedule. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma. At least 3 years of relevant medical clerical experience. Prior physician practice experience and knowledge of medical terminology. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of computer‑based scheduling and appointment programs. Salary The salary range for the role is $70,414.60 - $70,414.60 annually.
